A Unicorn-y build log part 3
By Loran The kit building has been progressing quite nicely! ReZel is pretty much complete though he needs a bit of touchup work still (I need better lighting in my bedroom). Today I also received a huge box of Gunpla that will pretty much be supplying the next few reviews-a GM Kai, the Ball Twin Pack, Deltaplus, and Unicorn mode Unicorn Gundam (Fodder for the next few weeks of articles! Woooo!). I have to say, though, I’ve been pretty impressed with the Unicorn lineup so far.

A Unicorn-y Build Log (part 2)
By Loran After an on-off week consisting of papers, work, and Gunpla work, I’m mostly finished with my Unicorn kits… well, the first one anyway. However, it’s very nice to be back in the mostly-full swing of building Gunpla again-I’ve been out of this way too long and it really kind of shows. For one, my paint supplies are running really low and I’m going to need to drop about $50 bucks to replenish most of my stuff

Review: HGGS Justice Gundam
By Loran Once again we come to another design from the Cosmic Era, and again, it’s one I’m rather mixed on. I know I seem to say that with a lot of suits from SEED but honestly it’s true. They might have elements that I find really awesome or really appealing but in the end there’s always a silly detail that just keeps it from being a suit I can really attach to

Review: HGGS GOUF Ignited
By Loran ignited The Zaku, Gouf, and Dom are probably three of the Zeon’s most memorable mobile suits of the One Year War. They’ve seen tons of variants over the years, with the Zaku having enough to fight a war with variants of itself. Because of their immense popularity, many times the Zaku will outsell the Gundam.

Kitbash Spotlight: Zaku Minelayer and Regelg
By Loran I’m sure you all know by now that I absolutely love kitbashing. To me, there’s hardly anything more fun than trying to fix a hole in my lineup that by taking an old kit and combining it with a newer one. Because really, you never know what Bandai is going to release and what they’re going to skip.

The FPNYC Gundam/Import Toy Blog Guide to NYCC/NYAF 2010
By Christopher Troy Greeting Forbidden Planet faithful! At this time, we’re only a few hour away from the premiere Comic Book/ Anime event on the east coast: the 2010 New York Comic Con/ Anime Festival! Needless to say, I’m a big fan of this convention, and here’s a fun fact: Thanks to NYAF 2009, Loran and I got our start with FPNYC due to a panel based on Gunpla (with help from panelists turned past blog contributors Keith and madgophermm5) that got FPNYC’s attention when they were looking to revamp their Gunpla section. In addition, I’ve been running events/panels for NYAF since the 1st year, continuing to this day, so needless to say I have a history with the con and it’s organizers. NYAF is also a con with a history of promoting Gundam and the Gundam brand

Review: HGUC Gaza C Haman Custom
By Loran In the Zeta Gundam movies, only one new mobile suit was really recognized. Sure, we got the occasional custom-colored GM Custom or GM Cannon, but those were really just brief cameos.
